'Recount'

I watched part of the HBO film Recount the other night. My memories of the 2000 election are indelibly mixed with the Little Ballerina's birth; I was induced on election day, and she was born after a c-section at 8 o'clock the next night. Seriously, my uterus started to hurt a little bit while I watched.

What was the most interesting to me were the clips from the news shows on election night and immediately afterwards. Election night I was obviously busy, but over the next few days I was a bit out of it and not really paying attention. I remember looking up at the TV a few days afterwards and thinking "wait, what the heck is going on?" So last night I would watch Dan Rather say something insane and go "wait, *what* did he just say?" and LawyerMan would be all "oh come on you remember this," and I'd be all "um, no, because I was busy having a baby."
