OK, It's 2 am, and all of a sudden, I'm jolted out of sleep by the sound of music. I check my alarm clock, thinking at first that it's time to get up, realize it's 2 am, and look around to try and figure out where the music is coming from.
I realize it's coming from the street outside. There's a traffic light right in front of our building, and someone is waiting at the light, windows down, music blaring out of their car.
Now here's the weird thing, someone driving along late and night, with the radio turned up and the windows down, you expect a certain type of music, right? Hip-hop, metal maybe? Not even close.
In my neighborhood, apparently, all the late-night party animals listen to Journey.
And you trying falling back asleep after that. I was lying there humming "street lights, people-uh-uh-uh" until the alarm went off.
