Excellence in parenting, part XVIII

In a wonderful new trend, the Little Ballerina has taken it upon herself to get the Heffalump up and dressed on the weekends, and bring her downstairs to watch TV while they wait for us to wake up. (I tried to get her to feed the little one too, but she keeps saying she wants company, and she might spill the milk, and she's afraid of the stove. Wimp.)

Anyway, so we stumbled downstairs this weekend after a bit, and I was flipping through the channels looking for something when I saw that Diff'rent Strokes, one of LawyerMan's all-time favorite shows, was on, and I informed the children that they were going to have to watch it.

Some protests ensued, but I over-ruled them, and I actually caught the Little Ballerina laughing.

Later that day, we're at Newbury Comics picking up the Hannah Montana CDs I promised to buy/secretly was dying for, and I saw that they had Seasons 1 and 2 of the show for sale in DVD. Needless to say, we had a Conrad Bain film festival for the rest of the weekend.

Which brings me to this thought: what the heck was McLean Stevenson thinking? (Season 2, Episode 3 &4) Man that was some bad TV.
