The New York Observer has an interview with Jayson Blair. It's infuriating. I really want to smack this kid. He gets probably one of the best jobs in journalism there is, a job people would give their eye-teeth for, and he's whining about how hard it was for him, and how all the mean people drove him to lie and cheat.

He tries to defend himself at one point by saying it was all the pressure at the Times, that "before January 2003, which he deemed his "last run at The Times," he fudged things "maybe less than five times.""

Oh gee, only 5 or so made-up stories. Stupid punk. I hope this kid nevere works again, but somehow I doubt that will happen.
