CBS cancelled the miniseries on the Reagans; it will air on Showtime instead. One of the complaints from right-wingers is that the movie allegedly portrayed Reagan as homophobic and insensitive to AIDS patients.

Two things: a) well, he was homophobic and insensitive to AIDS patients. and 2) it's not gay people are complaining about this, it's conservatives. Now, all of a sudden they're offended by this? They're all best friends with gays? They're upset when someone portrays them as homophobic, because really, they have no problem with gays? Is that what they're trying to say? I don't think so. I think they just find it embarassing.
