Abba-tastic!

OK, just watched this trailer, and my first thought was -- well scratch that, my first thought was "OMG, OMG, CAN I GO SEE IT NOW?!?!?"

Ahem, my second thought was, seriously, how perfect is Meryl Streep? What doesn't she do, and doesn't she do perfectly? She's adorable here. I want her to be my mom. (No, not really Mom.) (Yes, really.)

Normally, since I'm a truly petty person, this much amazing talent would have me jealous -- why does she get it all, best actress ever, funny, can sing and dance? But I totally have the girl crush on Meryl Streep. (I had to explain the girl crush to my husband -- it's not a crush like "ooh I want to date her, she's hot." It's "Oh, I want to go shopping with her, and hang out watching SOAPNet and do each other's nails. we could be pals!" This is what makes an actress able to successfully open a rom-com. Sandra Bullock would snort when she laughs and try on stupid dresses with you. Hilary Swank, no matter how much you try to act goofy and date an Irishman, would totally whine and moan about how she's bored with this store, and then order a salad when you make a late night call for pizza and give pointed looks at your stomach while you eat cheese fries.)
